PUBLIC CERVIX
ANNOUNCEMENT
MY BODY.
MY CHOICE.
“Because silence never fosters change — we speak up, show up, and stand for autonomy, loud and clear.”
We are dedicated to educating, empowering, and celebrating reproductive autonomy through community events, accessible resources, and transparent communication. Our approach blends empirical information with enthusiasm, solidarity with assertiveness, and compassion with directness, as this important work requires both heart and determination. Whether we are organizing fundraising activities, hosting educational sessions, or advocating against injustice, our mission remains unwavering: to foster a world in which every individual has the right to fully and freely own their body without compromise.

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Public Cervix Announcement will take place on Sunday, September 21st at Bowstring and Hi-Wire Brewing in Wilmington, NC. This all-day event will feature live music into the night, a vibrant vendor market with local makers and organizations, and opportunities to learn, connect, and advocate for reproductive health and justice. Whether you're showing up to support the movement, explore the market, or enjoy the music, this is a space for education, empowerment, and community. Our Team
Public Cervix Announcement (PCA) was founded in 2022 by Caroline Lemley and Emily Koch in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. What began as a simple backyard yard sale quickly grew into a powerful community movement. Our first event, hosted by High Wire, revealed just how many people in Wilmington were eager to support reproductive rights.
Since then, we’ve raised over $40,000 for Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, supporting critical services like STI testing, cancer screenings, family planning, and safe abortion access. Each year, we return to our Princess Street home with more momentum and community support.
We’re not a business or a nonprofit—we’re a grassroots collective fueled by volunteers and passion. PCA is about action, education, and solidarity. We believe in showing up, speaking out, and building a future where everyone has the right to choose. That includes you.
